Boys Varsity Tennis, Girls Varsity Tennis · PHS tennis beats Morrilton

POTTSVILLE (by Travis Simpson)— The Pottsville Apaches and Lady Apaches tennis teams won 11 of their 12 matches against conference foe Morrilton on Thursday at the Pottsville Tennis Courts.

The girls were 8-for-8, while the boys were 3-of-4.

“Today I saw some battles,” Pottsville head coach Keri McAlister said. “Two matches that went down to the wire and one that ended in a tiebreak. I was so proud of their mental toughness today. Performing, strategizing, and executing under intense pressure at a very high pace of play is extremely difficult and the sign of a truly outstanding athlete.”
